The same doctor, every time

You will always be seen and treated by Dr Caroline Warden: an NHS GP with over nineteen years of clinical experience, an independent prescriber and a Level 7 qualified aesthetic doctor. Not a practitioner working under a remote prescriber, not a rotating team. From your first consultation through treatment, review and ongoing care, you see the same doctor who knows your face, your history and what you wanted last time.

Once you become a patient, you are given Dr Caroline's direct contact number so that if you ever have an urgent concern after treatment, you reach her, not a reception line.

Consultation first, and a doctor who will say no

Whatever brings you to the clinic, your first appointment is a full hour-long consultation. We look beyond the single treatment you came in for and consider your skin, your facial anatomy, your concerns, your goals and the skincare you already use, as a whole.

Every new patient leaves with personalised skincare advice and an honest view of which treatments may help, which may not, and which we would advise against. Sometimes the recommendation is a smaller treatment than you expected. Sometimes it is skincare alone. Sometimes it is nothing at all. The £75 consultation fee is redeemed against any treatment, and there is never any pressure to proceed.

The most valuable thing a doctor can tell you in an aesthetic clinic is that you don't need something. We say it often.

Treatment on the same day, if you choose

We are very happy for you to go away after your consultation, think it over and come back another day. But if you feel ready and treatment is appropriate, we can usually treat you at the same appointment. Because Dr Caroline is a prescriber, prescription medicines are held at the clinic and there is no separate prescriber appointment, no video call with someone you have never met, and no waiting a fortnight for a second visit.

Safety is a priority

Aesthetic medicine is still medicine. The clinic carries the prescription medicines and emergency equipment needed to manage a complication should one occur, including adrenaline for anaphylaxis and hyaluronidase, which dissolves hyaluronic acid filler in the rare event of a vascular problem. Being treated by the same doctor who consulted, prescribed and planned your treatment means there is one person responsible for your care, and she is in the room.

Evidence over trends

We deliberately offer a short menu: anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, Sculptra and Radiesse, polynucleotides, skin boosters, medical microneedling, medical peels, electrocautery and prescription skincare. Each is there because the evidence, the safety record and our patients' results justify it. We do not offer treatments because they are trending, and we have written openly about the ones we have turned down and why.

If a treatment, a product or a trend does not pass all six, we do not offer it, however many people are asking for it.

Quiet and discreet

Our Hale clinic runs by appointment only, in a private setting just off the village high street with no busy waiting room. Appointments are deliberately spaced so you are unlikely to meet another patient, and with parking directly outside you can arrive and leave easily and privately. Many of our patients would rather nobody knew they had been, and nobody does.
