Non Surgical Facial Rejuvenation in Hale, Altrincham and Cheshire
Natural looking facial rejuvenation with Sculptra, Radiesse, polynucleotides, skin boosters and collagen stimulating treatments
Many patients do not come to clinic asking for one specific treatment.
They come in saying things like:
“I feel like my face has dropped.”
“I look tired even when I have slept.”
“My skin does not look as firm as it used to.”
“I do not want to look different, I just want to look fresher.”
“I am worried about looking overdone.”
“I have lost weight and my face looks older.”
At Dr Caroline Warden Skin & Aesthetic Clinic in Hale, Cheshire, non surgical facial rejuvenation is not about changing your face. It is about understanding what has changed, then creating a careful, medically led plan to restore freshness, skin quality, balance and confidence.
As an NHS GP and aesthetic doctor, I take a diagnosis first approach. This means I assess the face properly before recommending treatment. Collagen loss, facial volume change, skin thinning, sun damage, muscle movement, hormonal change, stress, weight loss and lifestyle factors can all contribute to the way the face ages.
There is no single best treatment for everyone.
Some patients benefit most from collagen stimulation with Sculptra. Others need Radiesse for firmer skin support and contour. Some need polynucleotides, NCTF or Profhilo to improve skin quality. Others may need anti wrinkle injections, medical microneedling with exosomes, medical grade skincare, or a carefully staged combination.
Our doctor led, female led and family run clinic is based in Hale, welcoming patients from Altrincham, Bowdon, Hale Barns, Wilmslow, Knutsford, Stockport, Sale, Timperley, Cheshire and South Manchester.
What is non surgical facial rejuvenation?
Non surgical facial rejuvenation is a personalised treatment approach designed to improve the visible signs of facial ageing without surgery.
It may involve injectable treatments, collagen stimulating treatments, skin boosters, medical grade skincare, microneedling, exosomes and carefully planned maintenance.
The aim is not to create an artificial or obviously treated appearance. The aim is to help you look fresher, healthier, more rested and more confident, while still looking like yourself.
For some patients, that means improving skin texture and glow. For others, it means supporting facial structure, softening heaviness, improving under eye skin, restoring hydration, or treating early loss of firmness.
The best plan depends on your anatomy, your skin quality, your age, your concerns and your expectations.
Why the face changes with age
Facial ageing is not caused by one thing.
It is a combination of changes in the skin, fat pads, bone support, ligaments, muscles and collagen framework. This is why treating one line in isolation rarely gives the most natural result.
Collagen loss
Collagen is one of the key proteins that gives skin its strength, firmness and support. As we age, collagen production gradually slows and collagen quality changes. The skin may become thinner, less elastic, less firm and more prone to fine lines, crepiness and laxity.
This is one reason collagen stimulating treatments such as Sculptra, Radiesse and microneedling can be useful in selected patients.
Volume and support changes
The face naturally loses some fat pad support and structural definition with age. Weight loss can accelerate this, especially with rapid or significant weight reduction.
Patients may notice flatter cheeks, deeper shadows, more visible folds, hollowness around the temples or under eyes, and a more tired appearance.
This does not always mean the answer is dermal filler. Sometimes a gradual collagen stimulating treatment is more appropriate than simply adding volume.
Skin thinning and texture change
Skin quality often changes before patients notice obvious sagging.
The skin may become duller, drier, thinner, more lined or less reflective. Makeup may sit differently. The skin may look tired even when the facial structure is still good.
This is where skin boosters, polynucleotides, NCTF, Profhilo, microneedling and medical grade skincare may be helpful.
Sun damage and pigmentation
UV exposure accelerates skin ageing and contributes to pigmentation, redness, texture change, collagen breakdown and loss of elasticity.
This is why any good rejuvenation plan should include daily SPF and a long term skin health strategy, not just injectables.
Hormonal change, perimenopause and menopause
Many women notice facial changes during perimenopause and menopause. Skin can feel drier, thinner, more sensitive and less firm. Collagen decline may become more obvious, and some patients feel they have aged quickly over a short period of time.
A good non surgical rejuvenation plan should respect this biology. It should focus on barrier support, hydration, collagen stimulation and realistic, gradual improvement.
Weight loss and “Mounjaro face”
With increasing use of weight loss injections and significant lifestyle weight loss, more patients are noticing facial deflation, looser skin, hollowing and a more tired appearance.
This is sometimes called “Mounjaro face” or “Ozempic face” online, although facial ageing after weight loss can happen with any method of weight reduction.
The best treatment depends on the pattern. Some patients need support and collagen stimulation. Others need skin quality improvement. Some may need time for the body to stabilise before starting treatment.
My approach, why I do not believe in one size fits all treatment
I do not believe in treating every face with the same package.
A patient with thin, crepey under eye skin does not need the same plan as someone with lower face heaviness. A patient with sun damaged skin does not need the same plan as someone with post weight loss facial hollowing. A patient who wants subtle maintenance in her thirties needs a different approach from someone in her fifties noticing significant collagen loss.
During consultation, I assess:
facial structure
skin quality
collagen loss
hollowing
heaviness
fine lines
skin laxity
under eye concerns
neck and jawline changes
medical history
previous treatments
risk factors
lifestyle and expectations
Then we decide what is genuinely likely to help.
Sometimes that means one treatment. More often, it means a staged plan.
Sculptra for deeper collagen support
Sculptra is a collagen stimulating injectable made from poly L lactic acid.
It is used to support gradual collagen production and improve facial firmness, structure and skin quality over time. Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid filler, Sculptra does not create an instant volumising result. It works gradually as the skin and deeper tissues respond over weeks and months.
I particularly like Sculptra for patients who want natural looking, progressive facial rejuvenation and are comfortable with a slower process.
Sculptra may be considered for:
facial collagen loss
post weight loss facial ageing
temple hollowing
preauricular hollowing
midface support
softening facial depletion
long term skin firmness
patients wanting gradual improvement rather than obvious filler
It is not a quick fix. It is not suitable for everyone. It requires correct product preparation, careful placement, appropriate massage advice and realistic expectations.
Sculptra is often a beautiful option for patients who say, “I do not want to look filled, I just want to look less tired and more supported.”
Radiesse for structure, firmness and biostimulation
Radiesse is a calcium hydroxylapatite based injectable treatment.
Depending on how it is used, it can provide structural support and also act as a biostimulatory treatment. Hyperdilute Radiesse may be used in selected patients to improve skin firmness and quality rather than to simply contour or volumise.
Radiesse may be considered for:
jawline support
lower face firmness
skin quality improvement
neck and décolletage skin quality in selected protocols
collagen and elastin support
patients needing firmer tissue support
Radiesse is not the same as Sculptra. It behaves differently, feels different in clinical planning and is selected for different reasons.
For some patients, Sculptra is the better choice. For others, Radiesse is more appropriate. Occasionally both may have a role, but they should be planned carefully and not simply layered without purpose.
Polynucleotides for skin quality and under eyes
Polynucleotides are regenerative injectable treatments used to support skin quality, hydration, tissue repair processes and resilience.
They are especially useful when the concern is not volume loss, but thin, crepey, tired looking or poor quality skin.
In my clinic, polynucleotides are often considered for:
under eye skin quality
crepey under eye skin
fine lines
thin skin
tired looking eyes
neck skin quality
face skin quality
early ageing changes
patients wanting a regenerative, non volumising approach
Polynucleotides are not filler. They do not fill a deep tear trough or remove true eye bags. Their role is more subtle. They aim to improve the skin itself over time.
They work well within my skin first philosophy because many patients want to look fresher without adding volume or looking obviously treated.
Skin boosters, Profhilo, NCTF and Redensity I for glow and hydration
Skin boosters are used to improve hydration, radiance, fine lines, texture and overall skin quality.
They are not all the same.
Profhilo is a hyaluronic acid based bio remodelling treatment often chosen for hydration, glow and early skin laxity. It is commonly used for the face and neck in suitable patients.
NCTF is a lighter skin booster containing hyaluronic acid with vitamins, amino acids and other skin supporting ingredients. I often use it for tired, dull, dehydrated or finely lined skin, including delicate areas in suitable patients.
Teoxane Redensity I is a more premium skin quality treatment used for radiance, hydration, fine lines and overall dermal quality.
Skin boosters may be considered for:
dull skin
dehydration
fine lines
crepey texture
loss of luminosity
early skin ageing
post Sculptra skin polish
patients wanting surface glow and hydration
A useful way to think about it is this:
Sculptra and Radiesse support the deeper collagen framework.
Skin boosters polish the surface.
Polynucleotides support regenerative skin quality.
The best results often come from understanding which layer of ageing we are trying to treat.
Anti wrinkle injections for expression lines
Anti wrinkle injections can soften lines caused by repeated facial movement.
They are commonly used for frown lines, forehead lines and crow’s feet, but treatment should always be individualised. The aim is not to freeze the face. The aim is to soften excessive muscle pull while preserving natural expression.
Anti wrinkle treatment can be very useful within a wider rejuvenation plan because repeated movement can deepen lines over time. However, it does not improve skin quality, hydration or collagen loss on its own.
This is why many patients benefit from combining anti wrinkle treatment with skin quality treatments, collagen stimulation or medical grade skincare.
Medical microneedling with exosomes for texture and skin quality
Medical microneedling creates controlled micro channels in the skin to stimulate a wound healing response and support collagen remodelling.
It may be considered for:
texture
pores
fine lines
acne scarring
dull skin
skin quality
early ageing
loss of radiance
At Dr Caroline Warden Skin & Aesthetic Clinic, microneedling may be combined with an exosome based regenerative complex in suitable patients. Exosomes are an emerging area in aesthetic medicine and should be discussed realistically.
Microneedling with exosomes is often useful when the concern is the quality of the skin surface, rather than facial structure.
It can sit beautifully alongside injectable treatments when planned properly.
Medical grade skincare, the foundation of good results
In clinic treatments can be powerful, but they work best when supported by good home skincare.
Medical grade skincare may help with:
pigmentation
dullness
texture
sun damage
acne prone skin
barrier support
redness
fine lines
retinoid tolerance
daily skin maintenance
For many patients, skincare is the foundation. Injectables and procedures can then be added carefully.
A strong rejuvenation plan should not ignore the basics: SPF, cleanser, barrier support, appropriate actives and consistency.
What treatment do I actually need?
This is the question most patients are really asking.
Here is a simple guide.
If your main concern is looking tired around the eyes, you may need under eye assessment, polynucleotides, NCTF, skincare or a wider midface review.
If your main concern is facial hollowing or post weight loss ageing, Sculptra or carefully selected structural treatments may be more appropriate.
If your main concern is lower face firmness or jawline support, Radiesse, Sculptra, anti wrinkle treatment or a staged collagen plan may be considered.
If your main concern is dull, dehydrated or crepey skin, skin boosters, NCTF, Profhilo, Redensity I, polynucleotides, microneedling or skincare may be suitable.
If your main concern is fine lines from expression, anti wrinkle injections may help.
If your main concern is pigmentation, texture or sun damage, skincare and microneedling may be more relevant than injectable volume treatments.
If your main concern is significant loose skin, jowling or eyelid bags, non surgical treatment may have limitations and surgical assessment may be more appropriate.
A consultation is essential because most patients have more than one concern.
Why I do not chase trends
Aesthetic medicine is full of trends.
One month everyone is talking about salmon DNA. The next month it is exosomes. Then biostimulators. Then skin boosters. Then jawline sculpting. Then Mounjaro face.
Some of these treatments are genuinely useful. Some are over marketed. Some are excellent in the right patient and disappointing in the wrong one.
My job is not to sell the newest treatment to every patient.
My job is to decide what is safe, appropriate and likely to help.
That is why I take a medically led, conservative and evidence informed approach. I would rather recommend fewer treatments done well than a complicated plan that does not make sense for your face.
A typical patient story
A woman in her forties attends clinic because she feels she has suddenly started to look older.
She does not want to look “done.” She does not want large cheeks or obvious filler. Her main concerns are tired looking under eyes, flatter midface, dull skin, early lower face heaviness and a feeling that her skin is not as firm as it used to be.
During consultation, we assess her facial structure, skin quality, under eye area, medical history and goals.
Rather than treating one line, we create a staged plan. This may include Sculptra for deeper collagen support, polynucleotides or NCTF for under eye skin quality, medical grade skincare for daily skin health, and a skin booster to improve glow and hydration.
The aim is not a dramatic overnight transformation.
The aim is gradual improvement over months, so she looks fresher, healthier and more rested while still looking completely like herself.
This example is representative rather than an identifiable patient, but it reflects the type of patient I see frequently in clinic.
Non surgical facial rejuvenation after weight loss
Weight loss can be excellent for health and confidence, but rapid or significant weight loss can change the face.
Patients may notice:
hollow temples
flatter cheeks
deeper folds
looser skin
more visible under eye shadows
reduced facial softness
a more tired or aged appearance
This is often discussed online as Mounjaro face or Ozempic face, but it can happen after any significant weight loss.
The best approach depends on whether the issue is mainly volume loss, collagen loss, skin laxity, skin quality or a combination.
For some patients, Sculptra is helpful because it works gradually and supports collagen stimulation. For others, Radiesse, skin boosters, polynucleotides or skincare may form part of the plan.
It is usually better to wait until weight is more stable before investing heavily in facial rejuvenation.
Non surgical facial rejuvenation in perimenopause and menopause
Many women notice their skin changes in their forties and fifties.
The skin may feel drier, thinner, more reactive or less firm. Fine lines may appear more quickly. Under eyes may look more crepey. The lower face may feel softer.
A menopause aware rejuvenation plan often focuses on:
hydration
barrier support
collagen stimulation
skin quality
sun protection
medical grade skincare
subtle injectable treatments
realistic expectations
This is where a skin first approach is particularly important. The aim is not to fight ageing aggressively. The aim is to support the skin through a biologically changing stage of life.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best non surgical treatment to look younger?
There is no single best treatment for everyone. The right plan depends on whether your concern is collagen loss, volume loss, skin quality, expression lines, pigmentation, under eye ageing, lower face heaviness or a combination.
What is the best non surgical facelift treatment?
A non surgical facelift usually requires a combination approach rather than one treatment. Sculptra, Radiesse, anti wrinkle injections, skin boosters, polynucleotides, microneedling and skincare may all have a role in suitable patients.
Can non surgical treatments lift the face?
Non surgical treatments can improve support, firmness, skin quality and overall facial freshness, but they cannot replicate a surgical facelift. Significant loose skin or jowling may need surgical assessment.
What is the difference between Sculptra and Radiesse?
Sculptra is a poly L lactic acid collagen stimulator that works gradually over time. Radiesse is a calcium hydroxylapatite injectable that can provide structural support and biostimulation depending on how it is used. They are selected for different reasons.
Is Sculptra better than filler?
Sculptra and filler are different. Sculptra stimulates collagen gradually and is often used for long term facial support. Hyaluronic acid filler adds more immediate volume or structure. The best choice depends on your anatomy and goals.
What is Radiesse best for?
Radiesse may be used for structure, contour, firmness and biostimulation in selected patients. Hyperdilute Radiesse may be used for skin quality in carefully chosen areas.
Are polynucleotides good for facial rejuvenation?
Polynucleotides may help improve skin quality, hydration, crepiness and fine lines in suitable patients. They are not fillers and do not add significant volume.
What is the best treatment for crepey skin?
Crepey skin may respond to skin boosters, polynucleotides, Profhilo, NCTF, Redensity I, microneedling, Radiesse or skincare depending on the area and severity.
What is the best treatment after weight loss?
After weight loss, treatment depends on whether the main issue is volume loss, collagen loss, loose skin or skin quality. Sculptra, Radiesse, skin boosters and skincare may all be considered, but timing matters.
Can I have Sculptra and skin boosters together?
Yes, they can be part of the same overall plan, but they are usually staged carefully rather than all placed in the same areas on the same day. Sculptra supports deeper collagen, while skin boosters improve hydration and surface quality.
Can I have anti wrinkle injections with Sculptra or Radiesse?
Yes, in suitable patients. Anti wrinkle injections treat movement related lines, while Sculptra and Radiesse address collagen support, firmness or structure. They work in different ways.
How long does non surgical facial rejuvenation last?
It depends on the treatments used, your age, skin quality, lifestyle, metabolism and maintenance plan. Some treatments are repeated every few months, while collagen stimulators may have longer lasting effects.
Is there downtime?
Downtime varies. Injectable treatments can cause redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness or temporary lumps. Microneedling can cause redness and sensitivity. Treatment should be planned away from major events.
Will I look natural?
Natural looking results are the central aim of my clinic. The goal is to look fresher, healthier and more rested, not obviously treated.
Am I too young for facial rejuvenation?
Not necessarily. Patients in their thirties may focus on prevention, skincare, subtle skin quality and early collagen support. The plan should be age appropriate and conservative.
Am I too old for non surgical treatment?
Not necessarily, but expectations matter. Non surgical treatments can improve skin quality and freshness at many ages, but they cannot replace surgery where there is significant loose skin.
Is treatment suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Most injectable and regenerative aesthetic treatments are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
How do I know what treatment I need?
The safest way is to book a consultation. I will assess your skin, facial structure, concerns and medical history before recommending a personalised plan.
Do you offer treatment for Mounjaro face or Ozempic face?
Yes, I assess facial changes after weight loss and can advise whether Sculptra, Radiesse, skin boosters, polynucleotides, skincare or another approach may be suitable. I usually recommend waiting until weight is more stable.
Why choose a doctor led clinic?
A doctor led clinic offers medical assessment, anatomy knowledge, safer decision making and the ability to recognise when aesthetic treatment is not the right answer. This is especially important with advanced injectable and regenerative treatments.
